Again, the scene is bright with color, beginning with the low green shrubs in the foreground set off by the lighter green of the bunched grasses. The tents, seen closer-to, with broad borders ornamented in red, green, and gold, finials and fluttering pennants glittering against a strip of blue sky, are resplendant with color, climaxing at the center in Honor's princely patterned red gown trimmed with fur. Honor wears two heron feathers pinned to his hat by a rich jewel. Here, in Amour's tenting ground, there are no shadows; all is light and joyous color.
Honor sends Renown to free Cueur, with the help of Pleasure ( Plaisir ) and Pastime ( Deduit ), sworn enemies of Wrath and Sadness. They take Wrath's castle by storm and using ropes, pull Cueur up from his dungeon. He returns with them to Honor's camp, but is anxious to push on immediately so as to free Sweet Grace without any further delay. Honor sends Generosity ( Largesse ) along with him as an aide.
